Good afternoon , Father God... Today is the last day of the month of August. The 8th month of this year, 2011. Tomorrow will be September. Eight months have passed. How time flies! And as it is written in your Book, the Bible, in Daniel 2:21a GOD CHANGES TIMES and SEASONS. We praise and thank you for this day that you alone can make so we need to rejoice and be glad in it, as it is written too, in Psalm 118:24. Hurricane Irene has passed. As with all things, it is but temporal.. THIS TOO SHALL PASS.. And indeed it passed. Praise and thank you for the sunny days after, till now. For those who have been victims of this hurricane, through death, loss of property or whatever, we pray that you comfort them, and see them through as they are rebuilding what has been broken or destroyed. For all of us that has been spared, guided and protected at the height of the hurricane, praise and thank you... We are deeply grateful... We love you, Lord God..AWESOME GOD! >* lua...( loveualways )
The aforementioned title ------ Journey without Maps... is not original with me. I read that title in a women's magazine, when I was in Idaho, sometime May of this year. The lady author of said article was a city dweller most of her life. But fate had it, that she met, fell in love, with a man who was born, grew up in Montana. And later build a family in said place. As with all of us, new places, people, challenges, gives us complex feelings. Fear of the unknown. Little did she know that she would be fascinated by it. But what caught my eyes in said article was the painting on the left side of the written article. It was a beautiful painting of a mountain, with beautiful trees, in different sizes , in different shades of green. Mojz, has painted a similar painting inspired by the scenic scenes in Montana, and a beautiful sunset, too.. Said two paintings are now in her Mom's cute and cozy apartment, to add warmth and beauty. And said article was a parallel story of my generous hosts. Richard was born and he grew up in one of the mountains of Montana, and she from our beloved country the Philippines. . A city dweller too, most of her life. Till God brought them together in a blessed marriage. Writing this note, I vividly recall the twinkling of his so light brown eyes, matching the color of of his hair, and what made a lasting impact on my mind's eye, was " the joy, clear pure joy " of his laughter! Seemingly, he was a " child " again, as he recalled the memories of his childhood. If only each one of us could bring the hands of Time ! But we can' t. But we can rewrite it in the windmils of our mind. And we alone can choose to let go - or hang on to all the memories, whether good and bad.
He was living in Idaho for quite a number of years, for reasons of marriage and work. He is now retired, enjoying his lovely garden and tinkering on his vintage car. His Dad is still alive and do ranch work, and he is 76 years old, and Richard said, he still works... talks... like the " Dad " of his younger years. What a blessing! And what added to his laughter, was that for the few days I was with them -- I know more about Idaho, than him! No wonder, I said --- " because you left your heart in Montana. Just like the classic song of Tony Bennett of olden times --- he left his heart in San Francisco! " Ha ha ha! With you as my story-teller and historian, and with all the history books and all the photos of the wild, wild west, who will not learn? That's an " AHA " moment for me ----and this I know --- this term " AHA " moments was " original " with Oprah W...So there... And an invitation was extended ----- " be back next year --- with your family, ( her wife Mojz and her family, and mine has been in a 30- year friendship! ) --- we'll bring you guys to Montana. That's cool. If it pleases my Father.. then it will come to pass.. Amen...*
