Journey ... Without Maps - IDAHO

Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 5:34pm
From Virginia Beach..................................with LOVE!
Dateline: August 31, 2011
Place: " Rivendell "
Time: 4: 44 pm

Good afternoon , Father God... Today is the last day of the month of August. The 8th month of this year, 2011. Tomorrow will be September. Eight months have passed. How time flies! And as it is written in your Book, the Bible, in Daniel 2:21a GOD CHANGES TIMES and SEASONS. We praise and thank you for this day that you alone can make so we need to rejoice and be glad in it, as it is written too, in Psalm 118:24. Hurricane Irene has passed. As with all things, it is but temporal.. THIS TOO SHALL PASS.. And indeed it passed. Praise and thank you for the sunny days after, till now. For those who have been victims of this hurricane, through death, loss of property or whatever, we pray that you comfort them, and see them through as they are rebuilding what has been broken or destroyed. For all of us that has been spared, guided and protected at the height of the hurricane, praise and thank you... We are deeply grateful... We love you, Lord God..AWESOME GOD! >*  lua...( loveualways )

The aforementioned title ------ Journey without Maps... is not original with me. I read that title in a women's magazine, when I was in Idaho, sometime May of this year. The lady author of said article was a city dweller most of her life. But fate had it, that she met, fell in love, with a man who was born, grew up in Montana. And later build a family in said place. As with all of us, new places, people, challenges, gives us complex feelings. Fear of the unknown. Little did she know that she would  be fascinated by it. But what caught my eyes in said article was the painting on the left side of the written article. It was a beautiful painting of a mountain, with beautiful trees, in different sizes , in different shades of green. Mojz, has painted a similar painting inspired  by the scenic scenes in Montana, and a beautiful sunset, too..  Said two paintings are now in her Mom's cute and cozy apartment, to add warmth and beauty. And said article was a parallel story of my generous hosts. Richard was born and he grew up in one of the mountains of Montana, and she from our beloved country the Philippines. . A city dweller too, most of her life. Till God brought them together in a blessed marriage. Writing this note, I vividly recall the twinkling of his so light brown eyes, matching the color of of his hair, and what made a lasting impact on my mind's eye, was  " the joy, clear pure joy " of his laughter! Seemingly, he was a " child " again, as he recalled  the memories of his childhood. If only each one of us could bring the hands of Time ! But we can' t. But we can rewrite it in the windmils of our mind. And we alone can choose to let go - or hang on to all the memories, whether good and bad.

He was living in Idaho for quite a number of years, for reasons of marriage and work. He is now retired, enjoying his lovely garden and tinkering on his vintage car.  His Dad is still alive and do ranch work, and he is 76 years old, and Richard said, he still works... talks... like the " Dad " of his younger years. What a blessing! And what added to his laughter, was that for the few days I was with them -- I know more about Idaho, than him! No wonder, I said --- " because you left your heart in Montana. Just like the  classic song of Tony Bennett of olden times --- he left his heart in San Francisco! " Ha ha ha! With you as my story-teller and historian, and with all the history books and all the photos of the wild, wild west, who will not learn? That's an  " AHA " moment for me ----and this I know --- this term " AHA " moments was " original " with Oprah W...So there... And an invitation was extended ----- " be back next year --- with your family, ( her wife Mojz and her  family, and mine has been in a 30- year friendship! ) --- we'll bring you guys to Montana. That's cool. If it pleases my Father.. then it will come to pass.. Amen...*

Journey ... Without Maps - MAY RAINS

Friday, August 26, 2011 at 1:01pm

I was born and grew up in a tropical country, the Philippines. During my younger days --- weather was predictable. We only have two seasons - dry and wet.  Most Filipinos would know the siigns and the seasons. The rainy months normally starts on June.... the foreshadow is the " first rain " of May!!! It was told and has been handed down from generations to generations that the " FIRST RAIN of MAY " is a " Great Blessing " from God... So  during this first rain, containers, in whatever form or size are brought out to gather the rainwater.  The whole family enjoyed this " blissful rain!  Legend and traditions has made its mark --- that this rainwater has " curative and medicinal purposes. In faith, when someone gets sick, and is need of healing -- the elders pray and rub it on the part of the body that seems to ail a person... and as with all " traditions " we simply believed it. No questions asked...And when you asked, expecting to receive an answer, the response would be ----- " they don't know... They, too, the elders simply obeyed... Filipino culture demands that children just say ---- " yes. "

But lately, seemingly this is a " dying " tradition. In a sense that most Pinoys know at this point in time ---- that the rains when it comes to the Philippines, and also, the " first rain of May "  is no longer the " BLESSED RAIN " but ------ " ACID RAIN... it makes one sick, actuallly, unlike before. This is no longer tradition, but has been medically proven.

Seemingly the Philippines, and I could only speak for my own country------ the rains and the storms that " visit " us time and again, were welcome with open arms and joy in the heart!!!! Why???? Because they were not " violent rains " not " tornado " not " hurricanes! " Destructive floods, is a never heard word.. UNTIL PROGRESS SET IN... AND THINGS WERE NEVER THE SAME AGAIN... THOSE WERE THE DAYS.... JOYFUL, GLEEFUL DAYS! Sad that the younger generations now will no longer experience them.. Because the generations before them fall prey to --- GREED, CORRUPTION and all that the ruler of this age has done----- as written  in JOHN 10:10 -----he and his cohorts have --- " STOLEN... KILLED....and DESTROYED much of this world that God says ---- " GOOD."  And the perpetrators of these heinous crimes are the very creatures that he has created ---- he so loved... cared and hovered over with ---- LOVE, GRACE, MERCIES and LOVINGKINDNESS.... Why??????? Because humankind ---- did not ------ " LISTEN... >*

Ang tagal kong nawala sa FB.... Mayroon akong katulad eh.
Isa ito sa paboritong " kakanin " or " native delicacy " sa
 pinakamamahal kong Bayang Pilipinas..
At ang tawag dito ay ---- " PALITAW! "
LULUBOG - LILITAW!
Now you see it... now you don't! Ha ha  ha!
Bakit kaya?
Una sa lahat.... medyo " nawala sa sarili " ang computer ko.
Siguro " napagod " na rin siya... Gusto niya rin na mag- " rest."
Kaya kahit na ano pa ang gawin ng AT & T, nang Office Depot,
ayaw niya talagang mag- " move."
O baka feel na rin ni Lord na " bigyan " ako ng " new one."
Kase at that time parang April pa yun, next month - May--
birthday ko na...
So umalis ako, from SanFo... naiwan ang laptrop ko sa Office Depot.
Ang blessing ni Lord to comfort me, is to bless me,
with an -- " ALL- EXPERNSES PAID TRIP " to this blessed place,
IDAHO----- " THE LAND OF POTATOES! "
Love- gift from a very, very dear friend,
My " BFF" -   ( a friendship that lasted for 30 years.)!
And I want to praise and thank God
that here in IDAHO---
in this beautiful, simple, peaceful place
that God in His lovingkindness - grant me---
one of my Great ---- ' DEFINING MOMENTS."
AWESOME GOD!  >*   lua... ( loveualways)

Twilight Time ... Takipsilim sa Tagalog

Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 9:37pm

I am looking out through my window..
And feel the silence around me.
Cars come... one at a time... far and in between.
Meaning... somehow -- many are resting.
During weekdays, the many cars just come and go;
from morning till night.
Out in the malls, and other places, countless people
are doing their own thing.
Where? With whom? Why? No one knows.
It is a Saturday...
( In our Beloved country, the Philippines,
we call this " Sabado " in our native dialect -- Tagalog.)
Hospitals, medical clinics ( except in emergency cases,
are closed.
Government offices, and most private companies,
are closed, since yesterday, at 5:00  or- 6:00 pm, here in the US.
Same in the Philippines. But then at times, especially in our
government offices, the employess gets out of their
offices, much earlier...For whatever reason.. They alone know.

Shabbat Shalom!!!

PRAISE and THANK YOU, LORD GOD, for this BEAUTIFUL DAY, that You can alone can MAKE, so we need to REJOICE and BE GLAD in it, as written in PSALM 118:24, IN CHRIST JESUS NAME, our MESSIAH YESHUA, AMEN and AMEN!

>* SHALOM SHALOM!*

TO ALL OUR BEAUTIFUL FB FAMILY!!!

It's been one day short, ( October 25,) when I posted
my loving tribute to my late Dad, on his birthday last October 17, 2010.
For some " unexplainable " reasons, I lost my FB account.
Loved ones did try to retrieve it.. but seemingly, it was lost in " space!"
But failed..

Did some " angels " brought it to the " heavenlies?"
For my late Dad, and the rest of my family members to read?
Ha ha ha! That's cool..
Truth is stranger than fiction.
Who knows...

Thanks Bro. Dave Bessey of WIN, Bacolod, from my beloved country , the Philippines.
My note was inspired by your loving youtube tribute to your late Dad,
which if I remember right, was a week- earlier
than my late Dad's birthday.
God richly bless you for ministering to my beloved countrymen.

This is one of the many beautiful things that could happen to us,
here at our Beautiful FB Family, as we are able to share
in whatever form, as prompted by the Spirit of God that dwells in us
so we could encourage, inspire, exhort, and lift each other up, each passing day.
Each one of us have our crosses to bear, struggles to overcome,
in our spirits, souls, and physical bodies. and all that comes in our daily grind,
in this journey called LIFE!

But on the other hand, here we could also share our joys and blessings,
as God bestows upon us in His grace, mercies, and lovingkindness.

LIFE IS INDEED BEAUTIFUL!!!... Inspite and despite of. ( Romans 8:28.)
Nice to be back!  SHALOM!*

Dear Dad ...

Friday, October 22, 2010 at 11:24am

Today is your birthday....... October 17, 2010.
In our beloved country, the Philippines.
The place where you were born and you died, fulfilling your purpose here on earth -- that of being a loving husband to my late Mom, and a doting father to us, your children.
BLESSED, JOYFUL, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ---- Dad! It's October 16, here in the USA.

How time flies! It has been twelve ( 12 ) years, since your Maker called you  home last October 8, 1998. Nine days ( 9) days short of your 85th year.

I saw " that look " in your eyes, when we bid adieu  at the NAIA Airport, in Manila
last August 13, 1998, to your " apo " ( grandchild )  one of the many, in your large brood.
My first grandchild, on my side of our family.
An only child,  a daughter of my fourth child,
my first child to set foot on American soil.

A week before their departure,  I had that deep, deep  prompting
within my whole being to --- " CELEBRATE CHRIST MAS in AUGUST '98.."
We decorated the house, complete with all the trimmings, and we even had
a tall Christmas tree, and presents for one another. My kids, " your apos "
sang Christmas carols, gleefully, with much gusto,  as my third child, my first son,
( one of two, ) played the piano.
It was the greatest Christmas celebration we have had, ever.
It was such a joyous, precious moment!

I did'nt know.. There never was an inkling in my spirit,
that that would be your "  last Christmas "  with us.

But did I see tears in your eyes, at the airport,
and in our home during the Christmas- despedida?
Did you remember my late Mom
and my other siblings, who's gone ahead of us
to be in the bosom of their  heavenly Father?
I was thinking then, that it will take quite a number of years, for us to see
my daughter and her child, physically, in flesh and blood, anew.

Or were your tears, one of joy ? Was it a fulfillment of a long cherished dream
nurtured in your heart, for me?

You told me then, when I was that small, that ----- one day, in God's time,  my kids and I  will migrate to America. They call it -  " The American Dream."

I heard and learned of such term,
when I was growing up.
I was young, I was simply living my life,
or so I thought to the fullest.
I simply did'nt care.

You even said that America is not the only place
that God will bring me to fulfill a certain plan.. and a purpose
for my life. Because you said- God created all of of us, and
and you said---- God said, that everything He has created is " good."
You said that one day.. I will see the " yellow river" of China.
That one day, God will allow me to see the place where you grew up,
in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii.
It was through the generosity of of people whom you have loved so much,
Uncle Dan, your first cousin, and his pretty wife Auntie Vicky Carbonell,
who paved the way for us, to fulfill that dream. Ate ( elder sister) Flor,
and myself.
That lovely, exotic place, somehow made you into what you are,
because historically, your place was the seat of Christianity and Arts,
in the ALOHA land.

This is such a memorable place not only for you
but for us and your generations thereafter.
This is the place where you met the LORD JESUS,  at the tender age of 7 years old.
Through the love, guidance and perseverance of some
Christian missionaries, who gave their lives to God
to spread His Kingdom of Love, to all nations.
You said that one day,  I will trace my roots.
And it has come to pass, Dad.
It was Dan, Uncle Danny's son, his second child,
who painstakingly did the research
for all of us, up to our 9th generations.

That one day God will send me into the Mission field,
locally and in internationally.
To share the goodness of God's  Love.
The God of the Bible. Your God..My God.
Our Father.

When the sliding doors closed..And I could no longer see them,
I cried a river of tears. The fear of the unknown, gripped my heart.
The fear of uncertainties. The how, the what , the when, or whatever.
You held me gently,  in your arms, brushed off the tears in my eyes.
How I wished that their father, was with us..
But he has decided many years back,
that he has his own life to live,
and we are not a part of it.

You were there with Mom, when we have had that greatest blow of our lives,
the break-up of our family.
But I want to praise and thank God,
that He granted you and Mom more than 50 years of wedded bliss,
inspite and despite of..
In sickness and in health.
For richer or poorer.
Till death parted you.

I won the war, Dad.
Because I have two fathers defending me on all fronts.
My heavenly Father and you.
My Mom as our prayer warrior/intercessor.
our family, and all the many people, God has tapped to be with us,
every step of the way.

Yes, I did lose some battles,
and made costly mistakes.
But those were lessons learned.
To bring out the worst and the best in me.

To prepare me for my call.

It was Corrie Ten Boom, in her renowned  book, the Hiding Place
that quoted: " WHAT IS THE PAST FOR?
IT IS IN PREPARATION FOR THE FUTURE WORK
THAT YOU WILL BE DOING FOR GOD,
WHICH HE ALONE CAN SEE AT THE MOMENT."

He was ever faithful to fulfill His promises, Dad.
Did'nt you tell me that? That God always keeps His promises?
You told me that when I was only 5 years old.
And I could'nt understand the many words that you said, then.

He promised  me - that I need only to
keep still and He will fight those battles for me. ( Exodus 14:14.)
He said -  that I don't have to fight. He bid me keep still, and know
that He is God. ( Psalm 46:10.)
Because He said - " I am the father to the fatherless, and I am a comfort to
the widows, the abandoned, the lonely. ( Psalm 68:5.)

I still see you everywhere... anywhere I go..

You taught me how to catch butterflies..
You even taught me to pick up flowers, bundle them up in my hand,
smell , enjoy it, because God made those lilies of the fields,
for me.. so I will always be happy!
You taught me to pick up stones, in my path, in our walks together,
at times with flowers,
and an ice-cream cone, all at the same time.

You taught me how to climb trees..
Showing me the strength and the weak spots of every tree.
You taught me to ride on bikes..
You taught me how to fly a kite.

You taught me to read books...
To read the lives of great men and women.
Whose lives have had deeper meanings.
And who did not live their lives for themselves, alone.

To forgive people when they hurt me.
To always take a second look.
Learn to say nothing at all, if good cannot be said of a man.

I saw you writing on your diaries.
And you encouraged me to write down everything
that happens in my life.. the good and the bad.
Because you said that every miracle of the Lord is worth recording.
So that my kids and their children's children could read it yet, on how
God has been so loving and faithful and so real to us in our lifetime.

He has a name, you said. His name is -  ABBA.. My DEAR FATHER.
And to end  every note, you taught me to write with this endearment---

                                                     I love you, Lord Jesus,
                                                        your beloved child, lynn

You taught me to honor His name.
To love, honor, and serve Him,
with all of my heart, my soul, and all  of my resources,
( Deuteronomy 6: 5 -9 )
Little did I know, that this is the " Shema "'  which means --- Hear O Israel!
Israel.. The place where He decided to live, died and resurrected.
in His earthly journey, to show us how to live and love.

No wonder that my second grandchild in the Philippines, a girl,
at her first sight of the chichirica flowers in our garden,
when I was teaching her to walk, her first spoken words, -
were -- " Abu,"  her " first flowers, " when I placed it in her tiny, soft hands.
Abu... A variant name for  Abba.. Father, in the Chinese language.
The Christian Chinese calls their Father," Yeshu."
Nearest to the name of Christ Jesus in Hebrew --" Yeshua."

Your words came to pass, Dad.
Almost all of them.
The love and affirmation of a father.

You taught me many things, money cannot buy.
You taught me that John 3:16 is the " biggest key " on earth,
big enough to unlock  and open --- heaven's door.
And the whole Chapter of Matthew 6..will serve me well,
till I grow old.. And it did serve me well..

Seeds planted...sunrise... sunset... the seeds grew..
And thru the different seasons of my life, I found all these to be true,
very, very, true....

When I boarded my plane bound for US- ---with my kids, and all those who  love me,
and  are  close to my heart, waving their goodbyes, last October 14, 2008,
the uncertainties of what looms ahead were before me.
I was 64 years old.. How I wish that I was young and as innocent
as you are, just a six- year old boy, when your parents sought
greener pastures in another foreign land.
The US was in its deepest recession..a presidential election
was forthcoming, and seemingly all is not well in this Land of the Free, and plenty,
so they say.

I thought I saw you and Mom... waving your farewell, at the airport
on my departure. After all the well - wishers had left.
Tears fell from my eyes.
And I know..and I know.. and I know.
That all will be well ... because -----" GOD IS WITH ME."

I still miss you..and Mom.. so much.
Wish you were here with me. .But I know you would
want me to move on..
Kiss Mom and my sisters there, tell all of them I miss all of them.
Tell God, first of all that -  I'm deeply grateful... that he gave you and Mom..
to me... to all of us.. as our earthly parents, grandparents to my kids, as well.
ALOHA!!!------- from the bottom of my heart!

                                                                        I love you, Dad.....
                                                                  your beloved child------- lynn... *<

If you keep your feet from
breaking the SABBATH
and doing as you
please on my holy day,

If you call the SABBATH a delight
and the Lord's holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words.
Then you will find your joy in the Lord  and I will cause you to ride on the heights of the land
and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob."

Psalm 105: 10 -11
The mouth of the Lord has spoken.

Just Pondering

While I was making my note on the video - DOG SAYING GRACE...

A classic Christian song, entered into my mind.
One of my favorite songs, when we were in the darkest moments of our lives, many, many years back..
I am pretty sure, that many of us here, knows this song too, by heart..

The song goes like this:
When I say - -- MASTER..
My sorrows, disappear.
When I say ---- FATHER..
He drives away, my fears.
When I say --- SAVIOR..
My blinded eyes, could see.
When I say --  JESUS..
He speaks --- " sweet peace" to me...

> * AWESOME GOD! *

Awit ng Pagpupuri!

Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 1:25am

Ang kadakilaan ng Diyos ko
    at Hari, aking ihahayag,
Di ko titigilan magpakailanman ang
    magpasalamat,
Aking pupurihi''t pasasalamatan siya
     araw- araw;
Di ako titigil ng pasasalamat
     magpakailanman.
Dakila si Yahweh, at karapat-dapat
     na siya'y purihin;
Ang kadakilaan niya ay mahirap nating
      unawain.

Sa alimnang lahj, ang iyong ginawa
       ay papupurihan,
Ihahayag nila ang mga gawa mong
       makapangyarihan.
Ang karangalan mo at pagkadaila'y
        ipamamalita,
At isasasaysy ko ang mga gawa mo
        na kahanga- hanga.

YOUR LOVE, O LORD
is deep as the seas.. the floats forever.
We ask you when will it end---
You'll  tell us------ NEVER!

OUR GOD..
We love you so much;
now and forever..
We'll ask you when will it end?
You'll answer - NEVER..

The world might disappear,
like a castle of sand.

But you'll be waiting for us,
WITH YOUR MIGHTY ARMS and HANDS!!!
Para sa kaalaman ng lahat, ito po ay isang lumang kanta.. I love music so much.. kaya lang ang music, parang di niya ko " type! " ha ha ha!

So ginawa ko na lang siyang " poem." Sa Tagalaog, " tula".. Alam naman ni Lord, lahat, di ba??? Lord God, we love you!!! * <>< lua...
